You hear and read it everywhere; the next two to five years will be very tough economically. Probably much tougher than the crisis of 10 years ago. But a crisis offers new opportunities, challenges and possibilities. Thijs Verhees, the developer of the successful negotiation training courses of Ben Mastboom & Stefan Renkema (Arnhem-Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences, among others) designed an innovative training form for negotiation during this crisis.
What is special about these workouts?
A workout is exclusively online and revolves around just one negotiation case. No theory, just 100% doing. The goal is to demonstrably improve your skills. You learn from and with each other in an intensive, realistic but above all safe environment. During the workout you will receive advice, not only from your trainer/coach, but from all participants. The focus is on experiencing a realistic negotiation situation. Sharing the different experiences guarantees unique insights and practical points of improvement.
Research shows that in skills training, role-playing is the most appreciated and yields the highest return. In a workout, all the focus is on that. You will be challenged and you will have to work. By training (regularly) you will be demonstrably more creative, more effective and more fun to negotiate with.

The format of the workout
This workout is specifically designed to maximize the unique benefits of online training.
- Duration of this online zoom video session is approximately 3 hours including coffee breaks.
- You will receive the case study containing your role in advance so that you can prepare in advance.
- You get access to the concise online basic negotiation course so you can refresh the knowledge you've been taught during your master class in negotiation
- After a brief introduction, you will work with each other in small individual groups (break-out rooms) and in varying configurations.
- Collectively and individually we go through the case study
- By experiencing and analyzing together, you will discover new insights and areas for improvement.
- Within this safe training methodology, feedback is a gift that demonstrably improves your negotiation results in daily practice.
